Matt Davies

I spent 15 years in financial services, including almost a decade as an internal Leadership Consultant and Executive Coach, before setting up my own consultancy. I've developed a reputation for building deep relationships, and working with passion, energy and enthusiasm – being a cheerleader for my clients, while challenging them to reach their potential.  

Working in a global organisation, I supported leaders and teams across the UK, Europe and India, in departments as diverse as HR, Technology, Innovation & Solutions, Property, Facilities Management, Payments, Data & Analytics, Partnerships and front line Retail banking. The leadership teams I supported spanned everything from first line managers, some in their first leadership roles, to Executives working at CEO-1 and with decades of experience. 

Since setting up Matt Davies Leadership Ltd, I've worked across the UK, Europe, the USA, the Middle East and APAC in both the public and private sector and with individuals and teams alike. Clients I've worked with include HSBC, Natwest, Citi, Virgin Money, AON, Nucleus Financial, BMG Group, Scottish National Investment Bank, The AA, Qatar Foundation, The NHS, Claranet, Labster, Specsavers, Wessex Water, Frank Group and many others.

My coaching and team development work extends beyond business to performance sport. I've served in the past as Assistant Head Coach of the Great Britain Men’s American Football team, Head Coach og the Scotland u19 American Football team and am currently Head Coach of the East Kilbride Pirates. I've coached the sport for over a decade, winning multiple Coach of the Year Awards. 

In addition to one-to-one coaching of hundreds of leaders, my experience includes team coaching, design and delivery of leadership development, facilitation, consultancy, strategic partnering with leaders and acting as a trusted advisor. I've delivered hundreds of sessions, both in-person and virtually, from small team sessions, to large department-wide initiatives, to clients across the globe. These have covered all facets of leadership development, presentation skills, career development and more.
